Groundbreaking Ceremony
Today's Groundbreaking Ceremony was a wonderful time of celebration and we were blessed with a beautiful Fall day on the shores of Owasco lake.

Jackie Bellamy opened the service - over 70 people were in attendance.

Mrs. Patricia Smith sang for the special music.

Mike Huber broke ground with the golden ceremonial shovel.

Bishop Marcus Matthews, participated in the ceremony. This was his first visit to Casowasco since taking the Episcopal Office in the New York West Area in September.

NOMADS begin the demolition work
Eleven wonderul NOMADS joined us for a few weeks to help us with many projects around site, one which was the beginning demolition stages of the expansion project.

They took there time taking off some of the wood that will be used in the new meeting spaces below the dining room.

They worked hard on getting many of the nails out so that it will be ready to go back in the Spring.

The Bulldozer arrived earlier this past week. Work has already begun on the outside, including the taking out of the windows.

On Thursday, the crew began taking the roof off.

The electrical contractors have been in the building to remove hte electric.

Final inside look ...

The roof is now gone.
The Groundbreaking Ceremony will be tomorrow, October 26, at 3:00pm with Bishop Marcus Matthews presiding.
On Monday the bulldozer will begin tearing the main dining room off of the building so that preparation can be made for the cement work.
